X99 - RAM only works in slots 1 or 3

lshw -class memory tells you firmware, cache, and memory banks in detail IIRC, before my upgrade it reported bank:1 unused , and now it tells

1 Drmos Power Stages, Pcie , Ddr4 Ram Support, Four 2 and NVMe SSD LGA 1155 Support Intel 2nd and 3rd Gen CPU DDR3 RAM

rama66 slot 1 yes updated mine to the latest version A20 2 done 3 tried reseating and swapping the memory but still the slot dimmb2 wasnt controlled

ram slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 When I install my RAM in slots 1 and 4, it starts, and complains that I don't have the RAM in the right slots to use both channels I'm looking
